Laura studied percussion with Professor Sandra Sichacá at Universidad de los Andes. She participated in different percussion festivals in Colombia, Brazil, and the U.S., including the American Wind Symphony Orchestra’s 58th Anniversary tour and Santa Catarina Music Festival (2014). She has received masterclasses from renowned percussionists such as Nebojša Jovan Živković and Li Biao.

She has performed as a supernumerary with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia and Orkestern Filialen in Stockholm. Highlights include the Colombian premiere of Concertino for Marimba and String Orchestra by Rihards Zaļupe and her role as principal percussionist with the Universidad de los Andes Orchestra for Carmina Burana.
